Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 19, 2026

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly when you create an account, complete a notice questionnaire, or contact our support team. This includes:

  • Account information — name, email address, and password (stored as a hash)
  • Property and tenancy data — property address, rent amounts, lease dates, and tenant details you enter during notice creation
  • Payment information — billing name and last four digits of your payment method as provided by our payment processor; full card numbers are never stored by Califonia Noticies
  • Usage data — pages visited, features used, and error logs for platform improvement

2. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Generate, validate, and deliver your legal notice documents
  • Send email confirmations of notice creation and payment receipts
  • Respond to support inquiries and provide customer service
  • Improve the accuracy of our compliance engine and questionnaire workflows
  • Detect and prevent fraud or unauthorized access to the platform
  • Comply with legal obligations

3. Information Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for advertising or marketing purposes. We share your information only in the following limited circumstances:

  • Stripe processes all payments on our behalf. Stripe receives the payment information necessary to complete your transaction. Stripe's privacy practices are governed by their own privacy policy.
  • We may disclose information when required to do so by law, court order, or government authority.
  • In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, user information may be transferred to the acquiring entity, subject to the same privacy commitments.

4. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including TLS encryption for all data in transit, encrypted storage for sensitive fields at rest, and strict access controls that limit which employees can access user data. We conduct periodic security reviews and promptly address identified vulnerabilities. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you. To exercise any of these rights:

  • Log into your account to update profile information or download your notice history
  • Email support@canotices.com to request data deletion or a copy of all data we hold about you

We will respond to verified requests within 30 days. Deleting your account will remove your personal information from our active systems, though some records may be retained for legal compliance purposes.

6. Cookies

Califonia Noticies uses essential cookies only. These cookies are necessary for the platform to function — they maintain your login session and remember your questionnaire progress. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or behavioral tracking cookies. You may disable cookies in your browser settings, but doing so will prevent you from logging in and using the platform.

7. Contact

If you have questions or concerns about this Privacy Policy or our data practices, please contact us at support@canotices.com. We are committed to resolving privacy concerns promptly.
